Makayla is a professional Makeup, Hair and Special Effects Artist with over a decade of experience across television, editorial, bridal, fashion and beauty.
After graduating from The Makeup School in Auckland in 2015, where she was awarded the M·A·C Fashion Award, Makayla began her career in television, working with Screentime New Zealand and on productions including Sensing Murder, 800 Words, Jono and Ben, I Am Innocent and Warner Bros.’ New Zealand’s Mastermind.
Her career has since taken her across TV, editorial, fashion, commercial work and hundreds of weddings, with her work featured in Woman’s Day, New Zealand Woman’s Weekly, Shepherdess and NZ Performance Car.
Now based back home in Hawke’s Bay, Makayla is the artist behind Marble Fox, specialising in professional makeup, hair styling and cosmetic brow tattooing. After completing advanced brow training in Melbourne, she developed a signature approach focused on natural, beautifully defined brows that enhance each client’s individual features.
Whether it’s a wedding morning, a production set or creating the perfect brows, Makayla’s approach is relaxed, detail-focused and all about making people look and feel like the very best version of themselves.
